Momentum Breakout

StochRSI above 0.90 + Bollinger Band upper breakout = long entry. StochRSI below 0.25 + lower band breakdown = short. 15-minute candles, confirmed by volume ≥ 0.8x average.

Regime Filtering

30 days of hourly data determines the market regime. Uptrend = long only. Downtrend = short only. Sideways = both directions. The Sniper adapts automatically — never fights the trend.

Grid Harvesting

In low-volatility sideways markets (ATR < 1.5%), a micro grid activates to harvest small profits. Momentum protection blocks the grid when price moves > 1% — preventing trend losses.

Risk Management

Every trade: 2.0% take profit, 3.5% stop loss (optimized ratio). Trailing stop activates at +1% and locks gains. 2x leverage, 80% capital per trade. 4h cooldown after stop loss.

What is momentum breakout trading?

The Sniper trades WITH momentum, not against it. When StochRSI breaks above 0.88 and price pushes through the upper Bollinger Band, it enters long — riding the breakout. When StochRSI drops below 0.12 and price breaks the lower Band, it goes short. Each confirmed breakout is profit.

Backtested over 19 simulated trades across 30 days of SOL/USD data. Tested in all three regimes (uptrend, downtrend, sideways). The system returned +12.7% in 30 days (+152% annualized) with optimized parameters via grid search.
